Come join us for a half day kayak tour on the scenic Kentucky and Dix Rivers with the Green Waters Paddling guides. Ruth and Rainne gave an excellent presentation at the May membership meeting. Directions from Wilmore, KY: go south on Hwy 29 (High Bridge Rd). At the fork go right onto Pleasant Hill Rd. Turn right onto Lock #7 Rd to the High Bridge/Lock #7 Boat Launch.

The event is private on Eventbrite so use the Password/Code: LEXSKI713 to access the tickets. Ticket sales are set to end on Friday 7/12 at 5pm. There are two different tickets available, price includes tax and fees, one with a kayak rental $52.86 & one without a kayak rental $35.88. They are clearly labeled & no add-on situation is involved. From Green Waters Paddling: This guided paddle through the Palisades area is just for the members and guests of the Lexington Ski & Snowboard Club. We will meet at High Bridge/Lock # 7 Boat launch at 9am on Saturday July 13th. Kayak & gear rental is available or bring your own vessel to paddle. We launch on the Kentucky river, paddle under High Bridge and then onto the Dix River along the cliffs of the Palisades of Kentucky. Our destination & halfway point is a stacked waterfall tucked along the shoreline. We will stop for a bit have a break. Then we will return to the same place we launched from and should be off the water around 1:00pm. Below is a list of what to bring & what to wear items. Quick dry type fabric clothing in light layers
Full water bottle if not 2 (will have some extra water to refill)
Hat & Sunglasses
Sunscreen & bug spray
Closed toe or mostly closed toe shoes you can get wet
Snack for our break at the waterfall (small coolers will fit on the kayaks)
