Café Inquiry is a casual event starting with a short 10-15 minute introduction of the day's topic followed by open discussion. At 12:00pm we will break for coffee/brunch and a chance to socialize.
This week we will be discussing the new book by Steve Brill, Tailspin: The People and Forces Behind America’s Fifty-Year Fall–and Those Fighting to Reverse It. He was the author of The Bitter Pill, an authoritative account of how the Affordable Care Act developed and all the forces against it. Tailspin examines and documents the many forces that have led to where we are today–it is much more than Donald Trump. It is a book in the factual, real universe. A summary of the book can be found at: https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/549476/tailspin-by-steven-brill/9781524731632/
Members are welcome to propose and schedule a topic which would be of interest toward establishing a secular society based on science, reason, freedom of inquiry, and humanist values. Please contact us if you have a topic that you would like to discuss at an upcoming Café Inquiry.

Note: Meetup is one of several places we list our events and we don't require RSVP's like some meetups do, so the number of "Attendees" doesn't reflect actual attendance.
