Secular Holiday Brunch
Details
Come celebrate the Holiday Season, Winter Solstice, Saturnalia, HumanLight and Festivus with Ottawa atheists, agnostics, secular humanists, freethinkers, skeptics, and those questioning their faith. This won't be a traditional Christmas party -- nor a celebration of Hanukkah, Yule, Kwanzaa or Noël. This annual event started in 2016 and is organized by the Centre for Inquiry Canada (CFIC) Ottawa branch (http://cficanada.ca/ottawa) and its Living Without Religion support group, but EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
We'll be meeting at the back of Deacon Brodies Public House at 247 Elgin Street on the corner of Cooper Street at 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 23rd. If you're taking public transit, the #5 and #14 buses stop out front (Somerset stop), and the pub is less than a 15-minute walk from the uOttawa, Rideau and Parliament O-Train stations. If you're driving, parking machines between Metcalfe and Cartier are free on weekends, or you can park all day for $2 at Ottawa City Hall underground parking a few blocks away.
An affordable brunch menu starting at $7.95 (including coffee) is available, as well as $6 Caesars and Mimosas, a $7 beer special and the most extensive whiskey selection in Ottawa, but no purchase is necessary to attend.

There's only room for 20 people, so please RSVP ASAP.
If you're having a difficult time during the holidays and you would like to talk with others in a supportive setting, you're invited to come early at 11:30 am. Some people may stay later for conversation about current events and secularism.
