How did you hear about us?

I became an atheist when I read Bertrand Russell's Why I Am Not A Christian when I was 18. At the time, I was a staunch conservative, and I wanted to know why the Right hates Russell so much. And, to my surprise, I found myself agreeing with him.

What would you like a community like ours to provide for you ideally?

I would like to know what local opportunities there are for events and activism. Hopefully, this meetup will help me stay connected with the secular community.

I am the founder and President of the Reed Secular Alliance, and I run the Freethought Books Project (http://www.freeth...), which gives atheist and humanist literature to prisoners. I joined this group to network and promote my projects.
