What we're about

Public Group

We invite you to join our community of secular humanists and other people who love life and reason. Here, you can exchange ideas and experiences, make new friends and contribute to positive change. We also have a vibrant community of families where parents can find support in raising children well without religion.

CFI Salem Humanists' parent organization, Center for Inquiry, is an educational nonprofit whose mission it is to foster a secular society based on science, reason, free inquiry, and humanist values. We seek to present affirmative, rational ethical alternatives to the reigning paranormal and religious systems of belief. We promote critical thinking and humanist values through education, outreach and social services.

Support our group by becoming a CFI member and CFI Portland donor. (
