As this week's Friday will be Dec. 26th, which is one day after the 25th, and many people attach great importance to that latter date for some reason, we will be doing something out of the ordinary for our DI event. From 7 to 9 PM, we'll be meeting at the Metropolitan museum of Art on 5th Ave. (we've confirmed that the 26th is not an exception to its open "late" on Fridays policy). Afterward, those in the mood for continued revelry will proceed to a local establishment, for example the Bemelmans Bar on 76th St. (in the Carlyle hotel).

Our convening point will be the statue of the seated pharaoh that is located inside the museum's Great Hall entrance (and is 'colossal': https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/590699 ), at 5th Ave. and 82nd St. (That's at the top of a staircase, and if that poses a difficulty, there's a street-level entrance at 81st St.) As we proceed deeper into the museum, we will post comments to this event page, to let newly arriving people know where to find us.
