RECON- Apollo Beach Canaveral National Seashore Cleanup

Please join Central Florida RECON as we host another beach cleanup at Canaveral National Seashore (Apollo Beach)!

We will be meeting at 9AM at the Apollo Beach Visitor Center to collect supplies and submit the required volunteer forms. (If you attended the event here last November and your form is on file with the NPS, you do not need to fill out another.) After we finish up at the Visitor Center, we will head to Parking Lot 6 and cover the beach side for our cleanup. We found alot of trash here last year including trailers and lots of hurricane debris.

This event is a walking cleanup and no kayaks will be available. Trash grabbers, buckets, gloves and bags will be provided. After we disembark from Parking Lot 6, we are aiming for a two hour cleanup and at the end we will combine all of our trash, weigh it and take a group photo. If rain or heavy wind is in the forecast for the day of the cleanup, please check on Friday night for event updates. Bathroom facilities are available on site but please bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and water to keep hydrated.

The visitor center has extra forms but if you have a printer and would like to prefill one, the 2 page form can be found in the photos section for this event. A pinned map screenshot will also be posted in the photos section showing where we will be initially meeting.

Entry may or may not be free depending on the Ranger on duty at the entrance, please let them know that you are participating in the cleanup and they may waive the fee.
