CFL RECON- LaCosta Urban Wetlands Cleanup

Join Central Florida Recon as we partner with Keep Orlando Beautiful (KOB) to clean up this urban oasis. This park is full of litter.

The wetlands are mainly accessible by foot and there is usually enough trash to keep us occupied for hours, we will not be bringing our kayak fleet to this event.

Cleanup equipment will be available to borrow but feel free to bring buckets, grabbers and gloves if you have them. Bathroom facilities are not available at this location and parking is limited so please carpool if you can.

You will be asked to sign a Cleanup Event Sign in and Indemnity Waiver upon arrival.

At the end of the cleanup we weigh the trash, pull out the banner and take a group photo.

Bring plenty of water, a hat, sunscreen and snacks. Please wear close toed shoes, this location has rough terrain and occasionally we find sharp objects buried in the ground.
