🚣 Lake Fairview Cleanup

Please join Central Florida RECON (CFR) as we launch on Lake Fairview in Orlando.

Our events are free to attend. We will have six kayaks available to use for the event on a first to arrive first to launch basis. We equip all kayaks with grabbers, a personal floatation device (PFD), trash bin and paddle. For walking volunteers, we have buckets, grabbers and latex gloves to share. The parking area near the launch ramp is usually full of trash so you can pick up trash before it migrates into Lake Fairview. If you have your own paddle-craft, please feel free to bring it.

You will be asked to sign a Cleanup Event Sign in and Indemnity Waiver upon arrival. If you can’t swim, we will request you stay on land during the cleanup.

The event is scheduled for two hours. At the end of the cleanup we weigh the trash, pull out the CFR banner and take a group photo.

Please bring plenty of water to keep hydrated, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and shoes that can get wet.
