RECON + St. Johns Riverkeeper- Little Big Econ Snow Hill Cleanup

Join RECON and St. Johns Riverkeeper at Snow Hill for a collaborative cleanup of the Little Big Econ River! We have not held a cleanup at this spot since 2022 so it will be great to return to the water. Water levels will be lower than normal due to the ongoing drought but this should help us find trash that would be otherwise submerged during a wet season.
Please note that as the days are getting hotter, we will be meeting at 830AM.
Our launch spot is under the bridge, take the dirt trail down by the riverbank and please park on the side. We will have at least 6 kayaks available to use for the cleanup, they will be available on a first to arrive, first to launch basis.
As always, please bring a hat and plenty of water. This is a remote spot and no potable water or bathrooms are available on site. Cleanup equipment will be provided for the event. As there are trails near our launch spot, shoreline volunteers are welcome and needed as well.
We will take a group photo at the start and then after the event we will bag and weigh our collective haul.
