Hey there, I have CFS and a couple of other conditions* and my idea is to create a community that would do activities that are CFS friendly. E.g. with lower sensory input, with relaxed pace, with space for breaks with empathy and compassion. My idea is to have safe space where we dont need to feel oursefls a burden for others and where we do not need to appologize or explain all the time for the things we have no power to change. Since it is quite a tough condition and with too little support from the current society/ medical system, it is natural to have tendence to complain and talk about probelms related to health. However as it is so easy to get overwhelmed for us and we have so lmited energy resources, i would imagine a rule to not to talk about health problems in a format of our meetings. I want to make it a light positive space for us :)
ofcourse it is imortant to support each other, so we could do let's say once a month a zoom meeting where we will talk purely about how to navigate in the system, where to get help, how to do a paperwork and so on.
Activities i would suggest for our group - walks in nature, talks, playing board games, meeting online and anything else we will together will come up with.
Those who do not have CFS, but are aware of this condition and would adjust on CFS needs are welcome to join too! :)
I would propose first to make a date for a get to know each other zoom call and see how many we are and plan our real time meetup for a walk or so. If you are interested - register here. Later i would provide a link for the whatsapp group where we could privately discuss things.
