CG Riders

Join CGR for a days jaunt to Roosevelt and Apache Lake(s). Roosevelt has been a staple for CGR for quit sometime now, but we now have a new reason to ride there. It has recently been discovered that the road leading from Roosevelt Lake to Apache Lake has been resurfaced to a glass finish last year. For those who are not familiar with Apache Scenic Drive aka, (State Route 88). The trail winds through the Superstition Mountains and Tonto National Forest east of Phoenix and is down stream from Roosevelt. The drive offers stunning desert landscapes and rugged canyons. We will make a quick stop at Roosevelt Dam, then continue on the winding 15 mile journey to Apache Lake where we will have lunch at the marina. Afterwards, we will back track the same route or whichever pleases each rider.

The Copper Loop is located in the central/southern part of Arizona. One of our own have coined the name as it is very fitting and deserving of all the several mines located within the riding loop. Magna, Ray and Pinto Valley mines just to name a few. Join CGR on this day ride as we roam through the Sonoran Desert and making our way to our lunch destination in Globe at Salina's Smoke Street BBQ. From there we will continue the other half of our trip back to Casa Grande.
