Does the physical body interact with the spiritual?

Everyone's path is at least slightly different. Every other week, we choose a philosophical topic to discuss related in some way to the idea of spirituality. What exactly that even means or whether it means anything at all varies from person to person, and all perspectives are welcome so long as they're shared with respect. This week's topic is on whether the physical body interracts with the spiritual, and more interestngly, if so, then how?
