Chalk Scribblers anthology panel: All Tomorrow’s Futures

The All Tomorrow’s Futures anthology was published by Cybersalon and launched at this year’s Eastercon. It aims to explore possible near futures through stories set around 2050 in five different themes:
· Police and Justice.
· Power and energy.
· Finance and Digital Money.
· Health and longevity.
· Learning and Education.
All Tomorrow’s Futures includes stories by six of the Chalk Scribblers, including our four panellists who will be discussing the process of writing the stories and the ideas they explore.

Alex Buxton is a producer and director whose credits include documentaries for The Economist. His debut fiction publication is Update Needed which is published in the Finance and Digital Money section.

Stephen Oram co-edited of All Tomorrow’s Futures and is a prolific author of short science fiction, including of Ego Statistical in the Police and Justice section and See Me in the learning and Education section.

Wendy Grossman (chair) is a musician, journalist focusing on digital privacy and founder of the Skeptics in the Pub talk series and The Skeptic magazine. She proofread All Tomorrow’s Futures and will be narrating the upcoming audio version as well as being the author of ELIJAH in the Police and Justice section and Heritage in the Finance and Digital Money section.

Prashant Vaze is a self-confessed environmental policy wonk and author of two non-fiction books on the subject. His debut short fiction publication is Daylight Robbery in the Power and Energy section.

Each of the panel members will give a short reading from one of their stories which will be followed by discussion of the stories and the futures they explore as well as the writing and editing processes behind the anthology.
Although there is no charge for the session, there is an attendee limit so if you find you can't make it, please remember to change your RSVP so someone else can take your place.
