Chalk Scribblers meet the expert: Phil Scraton

Phil Scraton is a criminologist and non-fiction author who is currently a professor emeritus at Queens University Belfast. He’ll be giving us a talk titled:

Bearing Witness to the Pain of Others: Fractured Lives, Dissenting Voices, Recovering ‘Truth’

The subject matter is drawn from a career of researching the role of law enforcement in controversial deaths, including investigations into deaths in custody and the Hillsborough disaster.

After the talk, we’ll have a Q&A in which he will answer any questions on the talk or on his area of expertise more generally.

Although there is no charge for the session, there is an attendee limit so if you find you can't make it, please remember to change your RSVP so someone else can take your place.
