What we’re about
Meet young chamber music enthusiasts, find others with whom to play and sightread and take advantage of all NYC has to offer in this most intimate and expressive of musical genres! We'll check out performances together in a variety of settings and gain insights into chamber music through lectures, panel discussions, master classes and movies -- as well as from each other over drinks and small, informal social gatherings -- all while making new friends. Open to everyone interested in chamber music (even if you don't know what it is . . . yet!:o))

I am organizing an Anniversary Concert on Saturday, June 7th 4pm at Maple Grove Cemetery to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Friends of Maple Grove and 150th Anniversary of the founding of Maple Grove Cemetery in Kew Gardens, Queens. We have commissioned an original piece for strings quartet and SATB chorus by composer Margin Alexander. MARGIN ALEXANDER - Bio
We are seeing V1, V2 and Vlc for Strings as well as SATB for the chorus.
The "Maple Grove Cantata" to premiere at this concert. Rehearsal with singers and conductor on Saturdays May 17th and 30th in Queens. String sectionals also in Queens. If you are interested in participating, please contact me at CelesteCommunityMusic@gmail.com for score and parts.
