About GHNP

The Great Himalayan National Park (GHNP) is situated in the western Himalayan ranges, in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is a hamlet of dense forests, high altitude, grasslands, snow capped peaks, the cradle of Tirthan river, and hosts a great diversity of Flora and fauna.

Unlike other parks in the Himalayas, the GHNP is completely free of any human activities. It offers unique opportunities for enjoying nature, hiking and trekking, and observation of wildlife. The biodiversity of fauna and flora is exceptional. And of course, the park being the realm of nature, the landscapes are untouched, the sceneries are mind blowing.

Recently inscribed on the list of World Heritage sites by the UNESCO, The Great Himalayan National Park surprised everyone by its splendor. We offer you to enter the wild world of the Park by its beautiful valleys, Tirthan and Sainj. You walk up to the source of the river Tirthan across most ecosystems of the Western Himalaya. Goral, Himalayan Tahr, Red Fox, Himalayan Black Bear & Brown Bear, Western Tragopan (the king of birds), Himalayan Monal or even the Snow Leopard could be spotted during the hike.
