Details
In the evening, we’re organising a convening of climate scientists, representatives from local groups + proactive individuals to:
- Summarise the key things we need to know about the science of climate change.
- Understand what actions climate scientists think we need to be doing – individually but mainly collectively, to tackle and adapt to climate change.
- Work out what we can tangibly do in Exeter to make the biggest difference.
Climate Confluence: event format
5-6pm: Arrivals: explore the daytime event’s creations + exhibits, networking.
6pm: Keynote speech + Q&A around the current climate science – and what climate scientists say we need to be doing, by Prof James Dyke: University of Exeter climate scientist, writer, author and presenter of recent Global Documentary film: System Update | Rebooting Out Future.
6:30pm onwards: guided visioning activities + tangible outcomes led by Katie Villa: Quirk theatre director, performer and facilitator.
