Media Liberation Day, a GSI Event - In person and online
Details
Join the GSI for our next event in collaboration with Media Revolution, who will be hosting a dynamic talk and workshop for Media Liberation Day focusing on the issues within our media, its coverage of climate issues and how you can help create a better media landscape.
Abstract
The behaviour of malignant media owners is fuelling the world’s crises - but this power can be broken - by you. Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights says we have a right to accurate information. Media Revolution argues that right is being abused by the billionaire media owners. Disinformation drives division and disaster!
The Media Liberation Day GSI Seminar will explore how and what you can do to tackle this issue. Protected by fair regulation, powered by the people and free from the influence of advertisers, billionaire owners and their algorithms: better media exists - and is crucial to our survival.
Join the resistance - Media Liberation Day - 5th November - to refuse the toxic, amplify the independent and be part of the #MediaRevolution
But how? What to do before and on the day?!
