Nature journaling @ The Ventura Settling Ponds!

Bring your best binoculars and join us for a peaceful morning out at the Ventura Settling Ponds.

Which is located on Angler Ct in the Ventura Harbor. Carpooling is highly recommended since the parking can get tight. If there are no spots left, you may park for free in the harbour village lots nearby, or along the street.

The settling ponds are a circuit of discharge ponds from Ventura Water which attract a plethora of local and migratory birds. The path is one giant loop so journalers can have their pick of where to explore. There may be other birders on the path so please be respectful of taking up space. Dogs are not allowed in the preserve.

There are bathrooms nearby in the Surfers Knoll parking lot and in the Harbour Village. Bring a chair, sun protection, and any other necessities you'd like!
