About us
Welcome to the Chaotic Book Club! 🥴 We generally don’t know what we’re doing, and try to embrace the chaos! ✨
This book club is aimed towards Millennials and Gen Zs, however all ages are welcome! Books range from the latest BookTok trends, to classics we’ve been meaning to read, and occasionally veer towards the controversial. ✨
How it works:
The group organisers choose a book at the beginning of each month and post it here along with the event details.
If you're keen to join in, you can then rsvp to the event (see note on events regarding waitlist status please!) and source your preferred format of the book to read over the month.
At the end of the month, we congregate to drink coffee and share our thoughts, feelings and theories on the book - this is almost always on the last Sunday of the month at Mezze Bar in the CBD.
If you have a suggestion for an upcoming read please submit here:

One of our group members has also created a WhatsApp community which you can join for extra book chat in between meetups, send us a message if you would to be added!

February Chaotic Book Club ✨ There Is No Antimemetics Division
Mezze Bar, Durham Street East, Auckland, NZThis book club is for anyone who likes a good book, lively chats, and is keen to read outside of their comfort zone. Our reading list spans from contemporary BookTok sensations to timeless classics and unexpected gems, and we let the conversation lead the way!
The book for this month is There Is No Antimemetics Division by qntm
This will be on Sunday 22nd February at 11 am. We will meet inside Mezze Bar/Cafe. Join us for some coffee and great chats all around. There will be no agenda, just vibes 💫
If you have a suggestion for an upcoming read, please submit it here.
Check out what's already been suggested and the books that the group has previously read here.
P.S. We have a cap on the number of attendees, purely because that's about the max we can squeeze around a table or two. However, life is chaotic and we almost always have a handful of no-shows, so if you're keen to come along and stuck on the waiting list, please free free to turn up anyway!
