Sorry its been so long since our last hike. Our next hike is Nov. 21

This is a short hike. It will start in Chapala. We will hike to the Cross on top of the mountain just above the Chapala plaza. It is a bit difficult because the trail has not been well maintained so wear sturdy shoes and its best to have a walking stick for safety and ease. We will hike slowly.The hike will not take more then an hour. So many of you lie in Guadalajara so I am offering this especially to attract all you nature lovers from Guadalajara. We have not seen many of you yet. The starting point will be from the Chapala bus station so it will be easy for you all to find me there and you will not need a car to get here. Just get a bus from the old bus station in Guadalajara (Antigua). the hike will take us to an amazing viewpoint over the city and Lake Chapala. We will meet at 10 am to give everyone time to get here on Saturday morning. We can all stop for coffee at the Coffee House Cafe before we start up the trail. After the hike you will have the option to share a lunch together at Chapala's newest and beautiful cafe Chez Manu near the city park Christiana. This will be another half hour walk. Then if you still want more adventure we can all go for a swim at the park which has an enormous wonderful swimming pool. So the idea of this meetup is for as many of us as possible to meet and get to know each other and make it easy and fun for everyone.
If you want to enjoy Chapala for the whole weekend this would be a good opportunity to get away from the big city and enjoy the ambiance of Chapala. I can give you suggestions on cheap places to stay, just contact me via meetup mail.
I have a CouchSurfer room for up to three people for free if you want to stay over Friday and/or Saturday. Two people would have to share a bed.
