Chloe has recently realised the importance of taking as many opportunities as possible especially as a student. In the tech industry there are so many different ways to get involved in events such as hackathons, meetups or even conferences. All of these are great for finding other people in similar situations to yourself or finding people to learn from. Throughout her talk she will explain why this is so important and her experiences in getting involved.

• Lisa Donaldson - "Raising your profile"

Looking to move teams/ companies/ get a promotion or pay rise this year? Let us help you to raise your profile, by teaching you what companies and organisations look favourably on, targeting your market, who you are aiming to get noticed by and branding yourself. Tips will include: how to work social media to your professional advantage; what information to include on a personal website; getting involved in relevant Slack channels; how to build up public speaking experience, etc

• "Stephen McC - Keeping your skills sharp in an ever changing industry"

Stephen has worked as a Software Engineer for 18 years. He will be giving advice on how to keep your skills sharp in an ever changing industry and what he has done right/wrong. Our industry evolves at breakneck speed. Stephen says being a developer is rewarding but keeping up with the latest technologies, techniques and tools is a constant struggle. He will share his experience of Continuous Learning, and failing to learn!
