About us
Welcome to the Charleston Aikido Self-Defense Group! Our community is focused on learning and practicing the art of Aikido as a means of self-defense and personal development. Whether you're a seasoned martial artist or a total beginner, join us for a fun and welcoming environment where we explore the principles of Aikido through physical techniques and mindfulness. Connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for self-improvement and self-defense. Let's train together to cultivate strength, balance, and confidence both on and off the mat. Join us and discover the power of Aikido! I teach Iwama Style Aikido which places a strong emphasis on Aiki-Ken and Aiki-Jo training. This practice is very meditative and helps develop mindfulness and build good form for Aikido training.
