ONSITE The Writers Group of the Poetry Society of SC w/ Shanya Shanes

10:00 - 11:30 am (EST), to begin Saturday, March 11th and then continue monthly on the 3rd Saturday in the KNOWING room.

The Writers Group of the Poetry Society of South Carolina welcomes writers of all levels of experience to plant and grow their skills. Our time will be spent freewriting, discussing craft, and sharing feedback on each other’s work. We will practice trusting our creative mind, drawing truth from our senses and art from our dreams. Additionally, we will be reading from Natalie Goldberg’s “Writing Down the Bones” and other works. Please bring something to write on, a notebook or laptop.

Shayna is the kind of poet and auteur who keeps her day job, scribbles when she can and is sure, 49% of the time, it will all turn out for the best. She loves commas and italics for emphasis. Previously, she led The Writer’s Garden group at bliss Spiritual Co-op. Shayna is a member of the Poetry Society of South Carolina, and you can be too!
