6:00 - 7:00 pm (EST), Tuesday, July 22nd hosted by Cathy Lebeaux at the Watermark Studio in Mt. Pleasant. Address will be provided once registration is complete.

In this one-hour somatic drop-in you will be invited to listen deeply to the wisdom of your body. We often function on automatic, busily working or merely surviving, forsaking listening to what our body is trying to tell us. Together we will explore your internal bodily sensations and ways to release pent up emotions and deep-seated wounds. We will use breath, sound, movement and touch (your own) to delve into your hidden, internal landscape of feeling.

This is a nervous system informed modality. The intention of somatic inquiry is to create safety, resiliency and establish a deeper relationship with the body. When we build trust and emotional capacity within ourselves, it becomes a built-in safety net to deal with the stressors of everyday life. You will learn exercises and practices to improve emotional and nervous system regulation.

Lena Vieira is a graduate of the Somatic Institute for Woman. Deep questions about childhood trauma and her own personal experiences as an adult, lead her to explore shadow work, internal family systems and the influence of a dis-regulated nervous system on our wellbeing. The program to become a Somatic Women’s Healing Coach helped galvanize and clarify her lifelong pursuit of meaning and healing. Lena has a very gentle way of holding space and subtly educating her clients as she guides them through somatic inquiry.
