Capers! Hooray!

• What we'll do
This is the big one! Be sure to call 843-568-3222 to reserve your space or kayak. We will have limited space for this trip. The cost will be $90 if you need a boat and $40 for BYOBoaters. Plan to arrive about 8:30 to prep and depart before 9:30 am. We will plan on unloading, gearing up and paddling out to Capers with the falling tide. We will spend the day exploring the island, picnicking, playing in the surf, and just relaxing on the beach. As usual, there will be a guided walk down the island to the boneyard or back beach (if bugs don't carry us off in the maritime forest). Please plan for a full day of fun. Please don't scrimp on the water and sun protection. Light-weight shirt, hat, sunscreen are a must. Bring bug spray for the walk to the interior. This is an awesome day at the beach and the most popular trip of the year. We will return to the landing with the rising tide sometime after 3:30 pm. This trip is totally tide-dependent, so returning before the mid-tide is difficult to impossible. Parking off-site is $5 per car. Please bring cash to leave with the family that allows us to park in their yard near the landing if you choose this option. This trip is fully guided, and safety boaters will be available should someone need assistance. Please call 843-568-3222 to reserve your spot. RSVP on Meetup is just an indication of your interest. Reservations with the office are required.

Bring sunscreen, water, lunch, snacks, beach gear, frisbee, etc...Plan on arriving at Gadsdenville Landing at 8:30 to unload your boat, pack gear and park.
