Private "Spirits of Magnolia Cemetery" Tour for Just Moved to Charleston (JM2C)

Details

******* Greetings all. I have spoken with Bulldog Tours regarding the weather. The remnants Tropical Storm Nestor are forecast to move right over the Lowcountry Saturday afternoon. This quick-moving system will bring moderate to heavy rain mainly Saturday afternoon and night, 2-3" with locally higher amounts which could cause some minor street flooding. For safety reasons, I have decided to move forward and issue everyone refunds for their tickets, and the event will be reposted on Monday with a reschedule time option for the following weekend. Just want to make sure no one’s cars are flooded or safety concerns surrounding lightening. Your refund will reflect as pending within 24-48 hours. Do not hesitate to message with me any questions. Thank you for understanding. While this is an absolutely fantastic tour and I am looking forward to it, our members safety has to be our top priority.
Best, Dana, your fearless Meetup Group leader. ******

Just Moved to Charleston (JM2C) has partnered with Bulldog Tours for a private tour of Magnolia Cemetery, with exclusive access to Charleston's most hauntingly beautiful Victorian burial grounds- followed with drinks nearby at King Street Public House to witness their famous costume contest. Originally a 1790's rice plantation, Magnolia Cemetery was founded in 1849 on the banks of the Cooper River in Downtown Charleston. Home to 35,000 permanent residents, including authors and poets, artists, Confederate generals and soldiers, prominent politicians, bootleggers, prostitutes, and socialites, Magnolia Cemetery served as a Confederate encampment to defend the city from the Union bombardment during the Civil War. Over 2,000 Confederate soldiers lay at rest in Magnolia, including the eight-man Hunley crew, eighty-four soldiers who fought in the battle at Gettysburg, and six confederate generals. This nighttime tour is the first official walking tour of the historic site, previously off limits to commercial tour companies. The 90-minute walking tour promises the best of Magnolia's history, mystery, and spirits. Cost of each ticket is $25. We are capping this event to 20 people, so buy your tickets ahead of time! Do not wait and risk them being sold out! Please use this link when purchasing tickets.
