Hi Everyone-
I started a meetup when I lived in Columbia for Stay at Home moms almost 15 years ago that grew to be wildly popular. I have struggled to meet women in Charleston I can relate to since moving here 10 years ago, So I figured I would give this a shot (again)
1. The purpose of this group is to find other single moms to get together, share stories from the trenches and build friendships with others who 'get it'. Maybe your tribe of married friends or neighbors forgot you exist. Maybe you're not from CHS. Maybe you're wondering if anyone else could possibly have a clue what you deal with every day.
2. Who should join? SINGLE MOMS- Ya know- those of use that have no one to put as an emergency contact that lives within 500 miles, those that want a support system from those that have been there, those that have spent more money on legal fees than they care to admit, those with no family around. Those that do EVERYTHING for their child(ren) and little for themselves. We're all busy, myself included, with kid activities...but we can find the time!
3. Events- not sure yet? I am a social worker and forgot how to be social lol. I am thinking MNO, IG page / group to share things that you don't want to share with anyone else, game nights? Open to suggestions.
