I recently moved to Charleston and rediscovered my love for crafting—and I realized how much more fun it is when you’re creating alongside other people. That’s what inspired me to start Charleston DIY Social Club: a place to connect, unwind, and make something with your hands in a relaxed, social setting.
This group is all about monthly DIY meetups hosted at breweries, restaurants, and other fun spots around town. Each event will feature a different project—from beginner-friendly crafts to more detailed creations—so there’s always something new to try. No experience needed, just come ready to have fun.
Right now, I’m especially into decoupage and recently launched a small business, Ocean Handcrafts, where I create handmade pieces, participate in local vendor markets, and host DIY classes. Most events will range from $40–$60 per person, depending on the project and materials.
I’m also excited to collaborate with other creatives—whether you’re into painting, candle-making, woodworking, or anything in between. The goal is to build a welcoming, creative community where people can try new things and meet great people along the way.
