A Good Day for the Dogs, Daycation and Drinks!

Enjoy the day with a hand curated selection of adoptable dogs from CMPD Animal Control.
We’ll pick up our pups at the shelter on Byrum Rd, and make our way to nearby Iswa Nature preserve for a 1.5-mile hike (it’s a dirt path, so dress accordingly)
After we’ve worked the energy out of the pups, we’ll head over to Olde Mecklenburg Brewery on Yancey to enjoy some beer and show the dogs off, and hopefully get a few adopted, maybe by you.
AC&C limits us to 10 dogs, and experienced walkers will get priority. But that’s OK, we can always use extra hands, and the dogs love meeting more people.
We’ll provide everything you need; you just need to show up and help these dogs have a great day.
If hiking isn’t your thing, you can still join us at OMB, we usually get there around 1pm.
*If you’re thinking about adopting, this is a great way to meet multiple dogs and spend quality time with them before you choose. Our group members are always happy to lend a hand and provide advice to new owners
