2020 Cycle North Carolina Coastal Ride (Oriental, NC)

The 2020 Cycle NC Coastal ride is an epic 3-day excursion featuring coastal scenery, flat roads, low traffic counts and the wind at your back. With multiple route options offered each day ranging anywhere from 10 miles all the way up to 100 miles, the Cycle NC Coastal Ride has something for everyone. Whether you are a newbie or a seasoned veteran, the Cycle NC Coastal Ride has a route just for you. The best part is, you start and finish from the same location so there's no hassle of moving camp each day.

All routes are fully supported with rest stops every 10-20 miles, Support And Gear vehicles (SAG’s), and the Cycling Spoken Here bike mechanics. The rest stops or aid stations, feature FREE snacks, drinks, water, pb & j sandwiches, restrooms and an opportunity to dismount, stretch and explore the area.

2020 CNC Coastal Ride Route Schedule

Friday: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
Saturday: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Sunday: 8:00 am to 3:00 pm

The routes are subject to change as they will continue to be adjusted to provide the most scenic and safe roads.

Overview:

The Cycle North Carolina Coastal Ride offers participants and their families a fun-filled 3-day weekend while both on and off the bike. Start your day by hopping on your bike and exploring one of the many fully supported routes this ride has to offer. Each day will feature a variety of routes ranging anywhere from 5 miles to 100 miles. The flat roads and minimal traffic counts will allow you to fully experience all of the sights and sounds of the Oriental area including an abundance of coastal wildlife and many historic sites that are deeply rooted to the local communities.

This small sailing town tends to move at its own pace, which is usually dictated by which way the wind is blowing. With fantastic museums, beautiful art galleries, great shopping and a simply gorgeous waterfront, there will be plenty for you to do while off the bike in Oriental. Those that are feeling adventurous can take a kayak expedition or do a little sailing while those looking to relax might prefer to check out the local shops or pull up a deck chair and enjoy the scenery. And don't forget to check out the live music going on each night at multiple locations in the town.

Famous for its friendly locals and a laid back way of life, your time both on and off the bike at this year's Coastal Ride is sure to show you why Oriental is one of the most beautiful and relaxing places in North Carolina. Spots will be limited for the 2020 Coastal Ride so register early as this event will sell out!

All routes are loop rides that start and finish each day from the waterfront campsite. There’s no moving camp each day so plan to park your car for the weekend!

In addition, routes will be offered through Ride With GPS which features turn by turn voice commands right from your phone and download options for a variety of GPS devices.
