Setting Boundaries That Actually Hold

Virtual Workshop / Sunday, Oct 4 / 6:00-7:00 PM ET
$10

You’ve noticed your patterns. You’ve learned to tell a real red flag from an old wound reacting. Now comes the harder part: actually doing something different in the moment.

Most of us weren’t taught how to set a boundary and hold it — we were taught to keep the peace, explain ourselves until the other person understands, or just quietly let it go. This workshop is about breaking that cycle.

In this session, we’ll cover:

• Why boundaries fail — the guilt, the over-explaining, the backing down the moment someone pushes back
• What a boundary actually is (and isn’t) — it’s not an ultimatum, a punishment, or a wall
• How to set one clearly, without a long justification attached
• What to do when someone tests it — because someone will
• A simple framework you can use in real conversations, not just in theory

This is a practical, discussion-based workshop — expect to leave with language you can actually use, not just concepts to think about.

No prerequisite. Whether this is your first Emerald Prism workshop or you’ve been with us since “Why We Choose the Wrong Partners,” you’re welcome here.

Led by Veronica H., Army veteran, Gottman-Method trained level 1 clinician in training, and clinical mental health counselor in training. This isn't theory, it's grounded, real-talk, and rooted in research.
