What we’re about
We are the Charlotte chapter of the international Hash House Harriers, which is is an adult-humored, non-competitive running group.
"A Drinking club with a running problem"
Hashing is a mixture of athleticism and sociability, fun having and hard work; a refreshing break from the nine-to-five routine. Hashing is an exhilaratingly fun combination of r*nning, orienteering, and partying, where bands of Harriers and Harriettes chase Hares on two to four mile trails through town, country, jungle, and desert, all in search of exercise, camaraderie, and good times.
The irreverent group typically gets together to humourously note on-trail misbehaviour with tongue-in-cheek drinking songs and “down downs”.
We meet up at 2 PM on Saturdays and go on a scavenger hunt through the woods and town, for beers that have been hidden by one of our members.
There is no cost for your first visit, so put on some old sneakers, long socks, weather appropriate gear, and come have a beer with us!
