Charlotte Hash House Harriers

We are the Charlotte Hash House Harriers (CH3), a chapter (also known as a kennel), within the international organization known widely as the Hash House Harriers. We are an adult-humored, non-competitive running group for folks who are of legal drinking age.

So, what is a Hash? Hashing is a mixture of athleticism and sociability, fun having and hard work; a refreshing break from the nine-to-five routine. Hashing is an exhilaratingly fun combination of running, orienteering, and partying, where bands of Hounds known as Harriers and Harriettes, chase Hares on two to four mile trails through town, country, jungle, and desert, all in search of exercise, camaraderie, and good times.

About Us. Our kennel welcomes all levels of athleticism from those who like to go for a stroll with a beverage in hand to the marathon weekenders. We want everyone to feel welcome and have a great time. We set trails all over the greater Charlotte area and pursue other social events to encourage camaraderie and quench our thirst.

While we typically meet every other Saturday at 2 pm to go on the hunt for Hares and tasty beverages, we also like to meet up for other social events such as this one. Afterall our tag line is "A drinking club with a running problem!"

Please join us for Thirsty Thursday with CH3 at McHale's Pub in NODA for a chill social meetup with new members and war stories of past misadventures with the oldsters.

We meet up at 2 PM on Saturdays and go on a scavenger hunt through the woods and town, for beers that have been hidden by one of our members.

There is no cost for your first visit, so put on some old sneakers, long socks, weather appropriate gear, and come have a beer with us!

**Trail # 1228 - Hash der Deutsche Einheit (Reunification Hash).

35 years ago the Berlin Wall fell combining East and West Germany into one country again. We are commemorating this event with a 'mostly' German themed hash. This Hash started its roots in the cornfields of Illinois but has now come east of the Appalachians for the first time. Plan to see David Hasselhoff, Red Balloons and other fuckeries the Hare can come up with this year.
