Fast Hike at Lake Norman Park

This will be above average speed hike and not a slow walk. Dont miss, we do this only 2-3 times a year.

We may start with 10 mins warmup with music while we wait for the others. We will then hike the Lake Shore Trail which is just over 3 miles long to the shot cut trail, leading back to the parking lot.
If hiking the whole trail, all 6 miles is something that you would rather do than that is an option. For now let is do a fast speed 3 mile hike.
For now, we will keep 3 feet between each other.

MEET IN THE FIRST FEW PARKING SPOTS ON SHORTLEAF DRIVE .

We will start the hike on time, so please arrive early. The park has a full time staff of park rangers so follow all speed limits.
Will be hiking above avg/2.5 mph speed with minimal breaks about every mile or so.
Dogs are welcome to attend, but must remain on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Humans can run wild. **Remember to bring water for your pets also.

If you decide not to attend you must cancel before the day of hike.
Look at map for meetup location and always look for changes or cancellations the morning of any event.
