Join the Charlotte Urbanists for a walking tour of historic downtown Asheville!
From the Grove Arcade to the Orange Peel, learn about Asheville like you never have before. Be a part of the western NC Come Back Story and walk in the compact downtown.
We will start at the Asheville Visitor Center at 36 Montford Ave, Asheville, right off I-240. Park for free in any of the lower parking lots and meet at the front of the Asheville Visitors Center at 11 am Saturday, March 15. The tour will be approximately 1.5 hours through downtown. Plenty of time for lunch or a quick bite or a visit to a brewery afterward.
Asheville is about 2 hours drive from Charlotte, so please plan accordingly. We encourage car pooling together!
People with cars willing to carpool, please be at the Blue Line Sugar Creek Station on March 15th at 8:15am. We will leave the station at 8:30.
