Create in VR for free! Try out headsets - hosted by UNCC and HTC

Hosted by Steven F.
Details
We are collaborating with UNCC's "Area 49" (inside the library) to bring you an update on virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) tech. You can try out a number of different headsets and there will be VR and AR enthusiasts to answer any questions you have.
Interested in creating immersive content? Joe Page will show you how to make a VR application by creating a 3D object, importing it into to a game engine, programming the object to do something and then demo the results in a headset. And the best part? The tools we use are free to download (Blender and Unity).
Location: Area 49 Visualization Lab, Atkins Library, UNC Charlotte. (The second floor in the library).
Pizza and soda will be provided by HTC.
The parking deck (see directions below) is a pay lot. We have a limited number of free parking vouchers. Please see me (Steven) or Beth for a voucher.
Atkins Library is #4 on the map, and you can park in Cone Deck 2, which has a visitor lot. Come up to the second floor, where you’ll see the Area 49 Desk. If using Google Maps, type in “Cone Deck 2.” You’ll enter on the side between the parking deck and the Cone building, not on the side that has the surface parking lot. For detailed information, see Atkins Library’s Directions & Parking Information.
