Join the Charlotte Beer Babes at the Carolina Renaissance Festival for BrewFest Weekend!

Event Date/Time: Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 10am - 5:30pm

Note - it's also happening on Sunday, October 16, 2022, if you can't go Saturday. Our group won't be there, but still will be plenty of fun to be had!

IMPORTANT NOTE! You must pay to attend the Carolina Renaissance Festival (parking is free). Tickets may be available when you walk up, or guaranteed right now if you buy in advance online. https://www.bigtickets.com/events/nc/CRF-October-15-2022/ For Q&A please see here: https://www.carolina.renfestinfo.com/fastfacts

PLEASE READ UPDATED NOTE: The event is now advance-ticketed through online purchasing only (no more available at Harris Teeter) for specific dates only. You must buy a ticket for October 15 to be able to attend with us. *This is new this year to help control traffic and crowd issues from 2021.* Ticket Price is now $32 per person (adults), plus a $2 fee from the ticketing site. The event also now opens at 9:30am instead of 10am. However we'll meet up around 10am for those interested. Buy your 10/15 tickets here: https://www.bigtickets.com/events/nc/CRF-October-15-2022/

IMPORTANT NOTE #2: All food and drinks (alcohol & NA) are cash only. Strongly recommend bringing $80 per person in cash for this event due to the cash-only BrewFest tasters plus the normal food & drinks. ATMs have a huge line there so best to err on the side of caution! All non-food/drink vendors take cards, however! Please note that this is *not* the Pub Crawl.

Location: Carolina Renaissance Festival, 16445 Poplar Tent Road, Huntersville, NC 28078

At BrewFest Weekend!

Learn the time honored craft of beer brewing! Sample a selection of fine micro-brewed ale! Play a series of RenFest Beer Games!

Adventurous costumed ladies are invited to flirtatiously strut their stuff in the Saucy Maiden Costume Contest! All in good, clean fun of course! Prizes will be awarded.

BrewFest activities start at 12:00pm at the Haven (behind Edgewood Stage). Sampling sales end at 3:15, sampling last call is 3:30, and activities end at 4:00 PM.

Come join the fun! Cash tips to performers are encouraged, but not required ($1-5 is typical per act). Meat lovers, vegetarian and even vegan food options are available! Soda, water, coffee, tea, and alcohol (Foothills beer, Mead, Wine, Mimosas, Margaritas) drinks are available.

If you'd like to meet up with Bethany and/or the group, please contact her before event day to ensure proper coordination. Email at charlottebeerbabes@yahoo.com or send a message on social media.

WEAR COMFY SHOES!!! Festival grounds are huge, and parking is free but can be a small distance depending upon when you arrive.

Parking tip - if you want to come out with least amount of traffic, try to get to the Festival by 10-10:30am to avoid ridiculous traffic. Last year people trying to get there by noon wound up in 2-3 hours of traffic. While they are trying to improve that for this year (and with COVID, last year they did have record attendances every weekend since it's 100% outside), best to arrive earlier from I85 or I77 sides to be sure to avoid as much traffic as possible.

Masks are optional! This is one of the few places that masks can really compliment your outfit without anyone blinking - so do have fun with it! Last year I wore my mask the whole time outdoors except when eating/drinking, but some people only did when in the shops (as was required).

Final note - attire ranges from jeans/shorts & t-shirts/hoodies to full garb costumes. Have fun with it! Just know if your clothing says something, you may get a performer who decides to interact with you about it! 😉 Again, have fun with it!

Any questions, don't hesitate to ask! Comment in the event or email me at charlottebeerbabes@yahoo.com!

Slainté,
Bethany
