National Dads Day Out: Latta Park Hike & Charlotte Beer Garden Lunch

We’re thrilled to announce that Charlotte Dads Group, in partnership with our good friends at Dad 2.0, are declaring a National Dads’ Day Out on Saturday, November 6! We’ll be joining organized meetups in cities all over the country designed to get dads together in-person to reconnect, share experiences, and participate in a physical activity.

Join us on a fun and relaxing autumn hike at Latta Park in the Dilworth neighborhood. Enjoy the beautiful wooded hiking path, get to know other local fathers (this meetup is intended as a DADS only event- without the kids), and get some exercise. It's a triple win!

We'll meet at the main playground at 11:30 Am (please be as punctual as possible, the hike will start at 11:45 Am.) It's a roughly 20 minute loop on a half paved/half unpaved trail. And if you're not in a rush to back to your family, join us afterwards at Charlotte Beer Garden (5 minute drive) for lunch!

If you can't make it to the hike, you're still welcome at lunch. However, if you joined us at the park then you're first round in on us!

It has been a long, winding, curvy road the last few months and each of us has had (is having) our share of challenges. Our physical and mental health have been tested. November 6 falls in the month of Movember so this is a great excuse to focus on the benefits of connection and community on dads' mental and physical health.
