What we’re about
The Charlottesville Camera Club fosters photography as an art, a hobby, or a vocation, by instruction and by sharing knowledge and experience. Our club was founded in 1995 and currently consists of about 75 dues-paying members who come together monthly to explore all aspects of photography. We welcome visitors and new members of all ages and levels of experience, ranging from beginner to professional. Our monthly meetings are usually every second Thursday from 6 to 9 PM, and are split between judging the monthly contest and a presentation by that month's judge.
We also hold regular workshops, peer-review sessions, and field trips for all dues-paying members. If our Meetup members would like to know more about the club and meet some of its members are encouraged to come to the events that appear on our Meetup page as guests. However, if you plan on attending our events more than once or twice, we will ask that you join the club as a dues-paying member.
