About us

Good morning Friends,
Camper Camp is now mine to lead as Andrea has shifted to part time advocate and possible client of Camper Camp.

We'll be in Ivy four weekends - April 11-12, April 18-19, April 25-26 and May 2-3. Hours will be 10-4 each day.

Because I am bringing my construction school ideas to this little operation there are some changes from past events.

The number one change is that this year I am interested in making more connections with people who I can trust to work on my camper - and that I am hoping to trust to work on other people's campers. If they are high school or college age and have an interest in vintage campers that would be ideal.

Things that need to be done at Camper Camp include:
Welding - thin steel (trailer frame) and structural aluminum
Painting - trailer frames (steel) and bodies (aluminum of various conditions)
Electrical - exterior light installation, 12v wiring - brakes etc.
Mechanical - electric brakes, frame work
Sheet metal - antique riveted aluminum, camper "skins," body work
Window and door - seals, gaskets, hinges! slides, locks etc, etc

Now, realistically I won't find enough younger guys who can do these things at a master level so I may be relying on old masters for much of the work.
If you are either a master mechanic who can help me and others with these things, or a young future master please get in touch and come out one of these Saturdays. And if you know someone who fits these descriptions please send them my way!

If you have a cool camper and would like these types of things done to it, please get in touch with me.

If you have a camper* and would like to show it off - please consider one of the Rally days - Saturday April 18 and 25 - where you can bring your camper and show it off!

If you just want to stop by and see the campers, April 18 and 29 in the afternoon you can do just that.

Thank you!
