Walk/Hike and Rivanna River Tube Float

Details
Beat Sunday's heatwave: we start by burning some calories, walking the hard-surfaced trail from the Riverview Park to Free Bridge through the park’s fields and forests along the River (about 1 mile). At the Free Bridge, you can turn around and walk back to the trailhead or you can join me. I will take out a water tube from my backpack, pump it up, get into the River and float back to the Riverview Park (2-3 hours). Bring-your-own tube
($5 Ozark Trail at Walmart, or a luxurious one for $50 at Outdoor Provisions) + a cooler tube). Or rent stuff at the Rivanna River Company.

Bring a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, water shoes, water bottle, snacks, and a bag to put your stuff in while floating.
Weather forecast: sunny, low chance of rain, temperatures in mid-nineties.
