Lunch at Devils Backbone followed by wine tasting at Hilltop Meadery

Let’s have an early lunch at Devils Backbone and maybe a beer. Before going to Hilltop Meadery for some mead and wine tasting.

Know some folks talked about visiting Thistle Rock Meadery in Charlottesville. So decided to see if folks are interested in going to Hill Top Meadery.

Devils Backbone (does not take reservations for parties less than 15). But I have gone there before with a group early in the day and did not have problem getting a table or together. Will meet by the Devils Backbone Grill at Devils Backbone Basecamp. (Also the weekend of the 18th and 19th is Wintergreen Resort Oktoberfest.)

Hill Top Winery and Meadery does allow folks to bring in outside food. So if people want to a bring picnic basket; cheese, crackers, charcuterie board, hummus, tapenade, and bread go ahead.
