Hike Monticello then midday fare at Michie Tavern after

This is a hike at Thomas Jefferson's Monticello. We're going to meet at the near top of the mountain at the Monticello Visitor Center (before you walk in and go through the security gate... park at the Upper Lot and walk up to the entrance and there's a nice seating area out front).

From there we'll probably walk down the hill via the boardwalk, but also open to exploring some of the wooded trails too, depending on if the group wants to do that.

We can also choose to hike up to Monticello, which is about a mile up from where we're meeting, but that will require visitor passes for each individual and checking in at the Visitor's Center for a printed ticket.

Depending on the size of the group maybe we may even want to do one of those tours that is included with the visitors pass.

After we're done hiking and/or touring and/or summiting to the top of the mountain, there is the Michie Tavern with great vegetarian options to go after.
