Trayfoot Mountain Loop Hike

Strenuous 10-mile loop hike with 2000 ft elevation gain. Hike starts at Blackrock Gap Parking and uses the AT, Trayfoot Mountain, and Payne Run Trails to complete the Loop. Highlights include Blackrock, vistas from Trayfoot Mountain, and Payne Run which may have one stream crossing. Should have previous experience with this type of hiking and be prepared for the weather which may include some potential for ice in a few spots. Updates as we get closer to the date. NOTE: If need to cancel due to Weather-Skyline Drive closer will plan on substituting an AT in and out hike from Swift Run Gap to Hightop Hut. (7miles with 1650 ft elevation gain with notification of any changes by 9:00am Dec 15th)
