Turk Branch-Moormans River Hike

Please join us for a beautiful and strenuous 10 mile loop hike in Shenandoah National Park, Southern District. We will meet on Saturday March 15th at 8 30 am at Popcorn Stand, Rockfish Gap, Afton and car pool into the park. The hike will start at Jarman Gap, Mile 97 on Skyline Drive.
We will take Appalachian Trail to Turk Mountain and lunch on Turk Mountain Summit, and return on Turk Branch Trail and Moorman River Road. There will be several water crossings.
Elevation gain 2700 feet. Please bring 2 liters water, snacks, lunch, hiking boots and pools, and SNP pass if you have one.
