Jones Run & Doyle River Wildflower Hike

Details
Let's see some spring wildflowers and waterfalls as we hike the Jones Run / Doyles River loop in the Shenandoah National Park! This is a 6.6 mile loop with an elevation gain of 1,354 ft. Last year near this date there were abundant trout lilies, dutchman's breeches, and hepatica. See more about the route on this AllTrails page. There is one water crossing that can be a little tricky.
When and where to meet: We'll meet at 9:00 am at Rockfish Gap, Popcorn Stand, Afton, and then at 9:15 am we'll car pool into the Park. We'll start the hike from the Jones Run parking area at MM 84.1.
There's an entrance fee for the Park, so bring an SNP pass if you have one. Those without a pass can carpool from Rockfish Gap with someone who does.
Please bring 1.5 to 2 liters water, snacks, lunch, hiking socks, poles, boots, and the Ten Essentials. (And an SNP pass if you have one.) Check the weather close to the day and bring appropriate clothing.
