St Mary's Wilderness Shuttle Hike

Moderately Strenuous Shuttle Hike of 7 miles with 325 ft of elevation gain and 1750 ft of elevation loss. We will meet at St Mary's Trail Parking Area. Then after 30-minute shuttle we will start our hike at the Mine Bank Creek Trailhead on the Blue Ridge Parkway. During our hike we will visit the old mining area and St Mary Falls. Be sure to bring water, lunch-snacks, hiking boots, and dress for the weather. All the stream crossings now have steppingstones, but we might encounter a wet crossing or two and you might want to take a dip in the river so “Be Prepared”. Sorry No Dogs and being a Wilderness Area limits participation. Will send participants an update couple of days ahead of the hike. There will be a carpool opportunity from Charlottesville.
