Blackrock Summit via Browns Gap

Park at Brown's Gap parking lot, which is located at mile marker 83 along Skyline Drive. From here we will pick up the Appalachian Trail and begin heading south. We will pass by Dundo Campground and cross Skyline Drive again before arriving at Blackrock summit. Enjoy the views at the top before retracing the route back.
This is a 5 mile hike with 639 feet of elevation. Should take about 2 hours to complete.
Come prepared with plenty of water, snack, bug spray and be on the lookout for snakes!
If bad weather is in the forecast, will cancel the hike the night before.
